This week is the first exchange of Fit Friends, where we exchange healthy and motivational items, one being edible.  For my edible item, I decided to try some new healthy bars.  I really hope she likes them!  
Ingredients:
1 1/4 Cup of Quick Rolled Oats
1 1/4 Cup of Large Flake Oats
 1/2 Cup of Apple Cider
1/2 Cup of Applesauce
1/4 Cup of Flax Seeds
1/4 Cup of Chia Seeds
1/4 Cup of Sliced Almonds
1/2 Cup of Dried Cranberries
1/2 Cup of Maple Syrup
3 Scoops of Protein Powder
I preheated the oven to 350F.
Then I mixed all of the ingredients together in a big bowl.  Then press them into a cake pan.  I used a 13"x 9"
Bake for 15 minutes.
Let cool COMPLETELY.  I even put mine in the fridge for a little while.
Cut into bars...

ReplyDeleteYes they turned out really good! Certain spots were pressed in the pan a little unevenly though, so they fell apart a little after I cut them.. but otherwise, they are perfect!
