Onesies

Onesies by ashtinasellers on Polyvore

Of course, with the baby on the way, I just can't stop browsing the cutest baby things!
It's still a few weeks until I find out if the baby is going to be a boy or a girl..  and I can't wait for that!  But these onesies I think are adorable for eitherl!

1.  Rock Me Mama Like a Wagon Wheel-I love this song, I love this onesie!

2.  Old Navy-Party Naked-Old Navy has some pretty funny and inexpensive onesies!  Who doesn't like to party naked?!?

3.  My Mom Doesn't Want Your Advice-This one cracks me up.  Nice and to the point!  Why do all women feel the need to tell you how to handle things?  This has already started for me.. But sometimes you just want to find your own path!

4. Old Navy Pants are Overrated-Another goodie from Old Navy.  I don't know why I find these so funny!  And it's only $5!  Can't beat that!

5. Locally Grown (Minnesota)-Enough Said!  I love this one.

This was my first time working with Polyvore, and I'm pretty sure I did it completely wrong, but whatever!

Nothing else has been new with me...I'm just entering my second trimester and i'm feeling great!  I've got a tiny little 14 week bump.  Chase really noticed it for the first time the other day and his heart dropped...  We're so excited!  I'm starting to walk without my crutches, too!  My leg still isn't very strong though, so I've been working hard on some exercises to get it back to tip-top shape!  I need to be able to carry around some extra pounds soon!

Chase and I have also started working on the baby room..  painting and changing the trim.  It used to be my "closet room" so now we're pretty tight on any extra space..  but I guess I better get used to that, because I'm pretty sure it'll only get worse!

Spring is finally (almost?!) here.. I'm soooooo ready for some sunshine in my life!

I've been completely avoiding the blogging world lately.. and mainly, because I've been waiting to announce:

We're having a baby!!!

Chase and I are both soooo excited.

It's been crazy few months.. After I got home from Park City and had my appointment with my Orthopedic surgeon, he scheduled me a CT scan for better imaging of the injury.  Before they started the CT scan, they asked if there was any chance I could be pregnant..
Jokingly, I said "I don't think so, but you never know, right?!? haha."  They didn't think it was funny.  They sent me to the lab to go and take a test to be sure, even though I insisted that I couldn't be..
After we took the test, they had us wait in a special room for a phone call from the surgeon who ordered the tests.. and when he called, he told us the test was positive.

So that's where we found out.  I was a little bit bummed, because I always thought I'd find out and find a really cute or funny way to tell Chase..  but, life just doesn't always go as planned, am I right?!?

It'll still be a funny story to tell our baby one day!

It's unfortunate that I had to undergo a serious surgery and start this pregnancy off with pain meds, blood clots, and a broken knee, but it's good that it was all so early.  I should be all healed soon, and then I'll be able to start walking, working out again and gain my muscle back so I can carry this little person growing inside of me!

I'm almost out of my first trimester and we're due at the end of September.

I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!

So, I'm a little late on this, since I wanted to do this post before Christmas.  But, better late than never!

I was thinking about gifts for the impossible..  those people who you want to give something to, to show them that you love them and be thoughtful, but really, they don't need/want anything!  I have a lot of people like that in my life.. so I tried to think outside the box this year!

I decided to try some Lip Scrub!  Honestly, this was sooooo super easy!  And if you wanted to buy lip scrub, it'll cost you like $20-$50!  That's crazy!

All I did was mix together:
1 Cup of brown sugar
1/2 cup of melted organic coconut oil
1/8 cup of Honey
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla

You kind of find the consistency that you prefer.  I bought little plastic mini jars from Target, and stuffed it in there!  Because it's perishable, they do say to not use it longer than a month.  I keep mine in my shower, and use it then!  It tastes amazing, and it's not limited to your kissers!  Use it anywhere that's dry.. I wash my hands with it, rub it on my elbows.. I love it!

Also, you can change it up if you choose!  Instead of going with vanilla, add some lemon.  Or maybe some peppermint if that's your flavor!  I love sweet.. vanilla and sugar.  My cousins told me it's better than Lush Costmetics!

For a Christmas gift, I paired it with Eos Lip balms and wrapped it in pretty tulle!

How did everyone's New Years go?

I got all fancy with my love, went out for a nice dinner at a place called Zelo, then rang in the New Year celebrating the nuptials of some friends!

During dinner, Chase talked and I talked about all that we've done this last year, and talked about all of our hopes for the next year!

In the meantime.. I can't wait to put away all of our Christmas decor, clean, declutter, and get in a full-blown health kick!

So, I have to be honest..  2013 is going to be pretty hard to beat for me!  I traveled to Mexico and Thailand, bought a new house, and made a ton of great memories with friends and family!  But I came up with a little list of "resolutions" or improvements for the next year, and I'm pretty excited about it!

14 Improvements for 2014
