It has been soooo cold up here in Minnesnowwwwta...  But that isn't stopping me from getting into the Holiday Spirit!

We are having Chase's brother, his wife, and baby Brayden stay with us for the weekend.  So I was definitely excited to get some decorating done!

My new holiday centerpiece!  I've had the silver reindeer candle holders since I was young, and I found the vase at TJMaxx.  Faux flowers are from Michaels.  I love silver/gold/and sparkles!

Our beautiful Christmas Tree.  I love the gold ribbon.

One of my Baby's First Christmas ornaments.  I have all of my families now.. both of my brothers, too!

Ice Luminaries!  I'm obsessed.  We're in the process of making a BUNCH!  I used the Arctic Ice Lanterns that was given to me one year as a gift.  You can find local retailers here.
All you do is fill it with water, set it outside for about 10-12 hours, then bring it in, flip it upside down and let it come out.  The bottom should be thin ice that is easily breakable.  Dump out the water, and place a candle inside, and it's a beautiful lantern!

This was on sale at Target!  Adds a nice touch.

What are you doing to decorate for the holidays?

Ahhhh my days have just been CRAZY busy lately!  We closed on our house, got all packed up, and moved ALL this weekend!  It's pretty unreal, because we seriously have SO MUCH STUFF!  But, my husband was determined and proactive at it!  We didn't think we'd move all in one weekend, but we didn't stop!  So now, we are just working on getting settled, putting things where we want them, and figuring out what we need.  I forgot how much work moving is.

That being said, I unfortunately couldn't make it to my sister in law's baby shower.  I felt awful, because we don't get the opportunity to see them very often as it is, and it's a really special time for them.
So, I knew that I wanted to do something a little special.  Chase's mom had told me that the theme to the nursery would be Classic Cars..  So... I got online and found this on Etsy!

I got it personalized so it says Brayden's Garage and his name on a license plate, too!  I thought it was pretty cute, and not too "baby-ish" so hopefully he'll like it for a while.  Hopefully, we'll be able to go and see him as soon as he makes his debut into this crazy world.

I'm going to try to keep blogging more..  Lots of projects on the way i'm sure i'll be anxious to share!
It's been a while since I've been able to find a moment to write!  I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas and holiday weekend!  I've had a very busy past few weeks cleaning the house and seeing different families.  Chase's mom stayed with us last weekend and then of course we had my family stuff going on all week.  It's really neat when you join families with someone else.  Chase has been a part of my family practically since we started dating.  We don't see his as often, but now I'm starting to feel that from his side more, as well.

On another note, I did a new little project.  I'm actually REALLY excited about it!
A doctor that I work for gave me 2 of these old things from Ikea:

I've had them up in our bedroom for a while..  but I knew I wanted to do something different.  I just never had the motivation.  But now that I know we aren't moving any time soon, I figured I should make up our bedroom a little bit more.
So.. I:
*Printed out Mr. & Mrs. signs just on normal paper at work in a font that I liked.
*Chase sanded down the frame a little, so that when I painted it the paint would have something to grab onto.
*I painted the frames a light greyish-blue.
*I cut pieces of burlap to fit the mat edges.
.. Put it all together, and...........

Super cute signs for either side of our beds!  I love them.. they aren't the highest quality by any means, but cute, fun, a little rustic, yet shabby.  And they'll go perfect on each sides of our bed, and i'm going to hang our old door in the middle.

I'm not sure why I always procrastinate on hanging all of my projects..  I will though, and take pictures of it all!  I got a new camera for Christmas, too, so my pictures are going to start to be great!  So get ready.. :)

Hope all is well with everyone during this season!  Cheers!
This was so easy, but a bit tedious since I used small pieces of fabric.
All I did was cover my old tree skirt!  Keep in mind, this is a small skirt because it's for my mini tree.  I cut up a bunch of pieces of linen fabric.  They are about 2" by 4".  I had some extra lace laying around, so I glued that to some of them too.  Then, I just ruffled each piece and hot glued it on.  I started from the inside and worked my way out.  Looking back, I think I should have started from the outside.

But I love how it turned out!

Unfortunately, you can still see some of the green underneath.  I might do one more layer to see if I can cover it up along the edges more, but you get the idea!

And here's my mini-tree.  Cute, eh?
After the holidays, i'm going to get a nice camera..  I can't wait.  My phone doesn't take very good ones!

Happy Holidays to all!

As I mentioned before, I seem to have a lack of inspiration for pretty much everything lately!  It really has been bothering me because I'm usually such a busy-body and full of ideas for all kinds of things.  I wasn't even going to put up Christmas decorations this year.  However, then I offered to host book club again this Sunday.

So...  last night I went for a run with my dog, threw dinner in the crock pot, and busted out my Holiday decor!  We have a small town home, so I don't put up my big tree.  Last year I bought a little pre-lit 3 foot tree that I just set on my table in front of our big window.  I also put up our stockings on our fireplace mantel and put lights all around!  I also started a few crafts that I will share later!  I'm not quite done..  And..  I redid my chalk board.

My main point of this post is that I feel like i'm back!  Motivated and ready to take on the holiday season!  Sometimes, when I start to feel like i'm in a rut,  I just need to MAKE myself get out there and get going again..  it feels soooo good once you do!

Tonight I have a massage and a yoga class, so that should help out too!

Happy Tuesday, everyone!
